Odin Mining and Exploration Ltd. have recently received notice that Newmont Overseas Exploration Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE: NEM), has elected not to invest further in the joint venture with Odin in Ecuador, a project which it has invested more than the amount required to earn its 60% interest. The issuer is actively looking for a third party to review the Cangrejos property, and some other related Ecuadorian properties, and Newmont is cooperating fully with Odin in this regard.
